Dale Smith is chairman and CEO of H. D. Smith Holding Company, the parent holding company of H. D. Smith, overseeing ultimate guidance of the company, alongside the board of directors. Focused on the strategic direction of H. D. Smith and its subsidiaries, Dale combines vast industry knowledge as well as years of running the wholesale distribution company to drive the company’s growth. Under his leadership, H. D. Smith has grown from a regional wholesaler to a national wholesaler with distribution centers spanning from coast to coast.

In March 2015, Chris Smith became president and chief executive officer of H. D. Smith, overseeing all day-to-day operations of the company. In this position, Chris holds executive responsibility for the H. D. Smith wholesale enterprise, as well as the functional areas that support both the wholesale and specialty solutions businesses. Throughout his tenure at H. D. Smith, Chris has worked to build H. D. Smith’s credibility with pharmacists and suppliers across the country, solidifying H. D. Smith’s space in the market.

John Danahy, former Chief Operating Officer of May Merchandising and May Department Stores International, retired in 2006 after 38 years with the May Department Stores Company. John began his career with May in information technology, going on to serve as Corporate Senior Vice President of IT. He served as Chairman of Famous-Barr Co. for five years before becoming Chairman of May Merchandising and May Department Stores International, where he had responsibility for logistics, finance, human resources and product development and sourcing offices in Asia, the Indian subcontinent and central Europe.

Steve Novik joined Edward Jones in 1983 as a principal in the accounting and finance area. Building a career in finance, he served as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer from 1995 until his retirement in 2008. He was responsible for all major aspects of accounting and finance. While CFO, he also supervised all real estate and administrative services, specifically the more than $260 million expansion and redevelopment of the Edward Jones headquarters in St. Louis. Prior to joining Edward Jones, Steve was a partner with the national accounting firm Main Hurdman, now KPMG.

For approximately 20 years, Kevin Kelly has served as Chief Financial Officer for both public and privately held companies. Kevin is currently a principal with US Federal Properties Co., a commercial real estate company in the business of acquiring, developing and managing properties leased primarily to the U.S. government. He also serves as the Chief Financial Officer for US Federal Properties, where he directs the corporate finance, treasury, accounting, and administrative functions.

Dr. Numerof graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College, Syracuse University and received her PhD from Bryn Mawr College. She is widely published in business journals, has authored five books and serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.

William Peck, MD, served as Physician-in-Chief at The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis from 1976 to 1989. He became Dean of Washington University School of Medicine in 2003, and served as Executive Vice Chancellor for Medical Affairs, and President of the Washington University Medical Center. In 2003, William was then named Director of the Center for Health Policy and Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Distinguished Professor of Medicine at Washington University. In 2005, he was appointed Senior Professor of Engineering at the University.
