Dino Dibella Hired to Lead H. D. Smith’s Third Party Network
Dibella brings over 30 years of strategic planning and contract negotiation experience
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – H. D. Smith, the fourth largest national pharmaceutical wholesaler, announced today the appointment of Dino Dibella as Vice President Managed Care. Dibella brings to H. D. Smith a diverse knowledge of both pharmacy and reimbursement operations and experience in senior and strategic level sales, marketing and contract negotiations. In this role, Dibella will be responsible for creating and maintaining a compliant network of prescription and service providers focusing on quality patient outcomes and fair provider reimbursement.

An expert in maximizing reimbursements, Dibella has negotiated more than 5,000 contracts, demonstrating his expertise in negotiating fair pharmacy network reimbursement with national health plans and Pharmacy Benefit Managers. Prior to joining H. D. Smith, Dibella served as the director, managed care for Home Diagnostics, INC., the leading supplier of co-branded blood glucose monitoring products in North America. During his time with Sharp Consultants as chief consultant/president, Dibella identified additional margin and operational efficiencies for major retailers, PBMs and mail service clients. As the director, managed care for American Stores/Albertsons, Dibella launched the managed care department and led it to achieve multi-billion dollar sales revenue during his ten years with the company.
